I was contemplating starting FLAT & fabulous shortly after I had my reconstruction removed and was trying to determine what I would wear on our upcoming vacation - particularly, a swimsuit. It is not uncommon for women to initially have apprehension about what will work or not when they no longer have breasts and choose not to wear prosthetics. I'm contacted often for ideas and, in an effort to help, we have worked to create this page and have also developed a Pinterest account with multiple contributors.

As I've adjusted to being flat, I've realized that, much like before our mastectomies, we all have a unique sense of style and the best thing we can do is pair our style with confidence. As for what I decided, I tried several new suits and went back to the suit I loved and had worn when I had reconstruction. There is no right or wrong way to dress - as you can see from our photos before, there are many options! We will be adding to these pictures - so be sure to check back.
